Everything I have studied leads to the Passover that year being on Thursday, as well. Someone told me the fifth day of the week was associated with death. All interesting things to consider. If the things had been done three days ago, a Thursday crucifixion would fit.JTRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13377580474241286817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3458704418802617760.post-22204379921925854832010-04-03T10:36:39.766-05:002010-04-03T10:36:39.766-05:00Greetings, What Think Ye ???

Suppose it is Thrusday. At 6pm on Thursday would be considered Friday. Not sure how this would affect your study, but it is interesting.heiscominginthecloudshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15391706409395121294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3458704418802617760.post-82722170510736617882010-04-02T11:35:23.999-05:002010-04-02T11:35:23.999-05:00The problem with the Thursday-Friday thing is the ...The problem with the Thursday-Friday thing is the Bible. The ladies came to the tomb on the first day of the week. We are told several times Jesus would be in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights, ie 72 hours.
He came from the tomb sometime between sunset on the Sabbath and Sunrise on the first day of the week. Which could have been 3 minutes after sunset, because it is now The first day of the week.John R. Thursday would prolly need a partial in there. I thot it was interesting tho how Matthew used "day and night", even tho the Jews (and Genesis) use "evening and morning". I like Thursday more because of Passover tho.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12297095831713497119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3458704418802617760.post-3171322473790051792010-04-01T18:02:44.936-05:002010-04-01T18:02:44.936-05:00The problem with the article is comprehending our ...The problem with the article is comprehending our days and Jewish days. In so far as His crucifixion is concerned it would reflect our Saturday, well sorta.
A Jewish day starts at sunset and ends on the following sunset. A Jewish day is pm first then am. Christ's first "Day in the Tomb" was just prior to sunset. So his first night and day started at sunset.
So all the days and nights count up to Saturday at sunset. Sometime after Sunset Saturday night (Jewish Sunday morning) Christ arose, consequently Jesus died Wednesday after noon and was buried just prior to sunset. It all must be counted in Jewish days not ours. Bro JohnJohn R.
