Be alert

In these last days we are in, we need to be aware of false teachers (And teachings) that call themselves "Christian". How can we tell a false teacher? How can we tell a true teacher?

1. A true teacher will point to God and not themselves. John the Baptist did this (John 1:21-23) and even Jesus - God in the flesh - pointed to His Father. (John 12:44-50)

2. Remember that even satan masquerades as an angel of light and so do his servants (2 Cor 11:14-15), so don't be fooled because they seem nice, or even work miracles because Matt 24:24 says, For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible.

3. Test everything (1 Thes 5:22a) Test it against God's Word and the fruit of the spirit and the works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-22

- Then as Rev 2:2, 2 Cor 6:14 and 1 Cor 5:11-13 say, - (my paraphrase..) Don't tolerate the false teachings - flee.

These are the last days , we must stay alert, and know the Word of God.

God bless ya'll

Good post! We have to be good students of the Word, and not trust others to "lead us down the path of error". The arm of man is prone to failure, but God has given each of us the responsibility and the ability (praise God for the KJV!) to seach if these things be so!
