Lester Roloff Singing "Deeper Than the Stain Has Gone"

I had not heard this song in twenty years. I used to have an old cassette tape in Bible college, and what a blessing it was to listen to! When a friend posted this audio clip on Facebook, I knew I had to blog on it so I would have to to refer back to. Hope this is a blessing to you this Sunday:

Listen to Deeper Than The Stain Has Gone
(if it will not play, right click and SAVE it, then OPEN)

Dark the stain that soiled man's nature,
Long the distance that he fell.
Far re-moved from hope and heav-en,
Into deep despair and hell.
But there was a fountain opened,
And the blood of God's own Son,
Purifies the soul and reaches
Deeper than the stain has gone!

Praise the Lord for full salvation,
God still reigns upon His throne.
And I know the blood still reaches
Deep-er than the stain has gone.

Thanks for posting this! I have a set of old tapes from Lester R. reading through the New Testament. He says, "Let's do more in 74!" so that must be the year they were taped! He doesn't break into song reading like he does when he preaches!

I know! I went to that site and downloaded about 15 of his songs and played them Sunday morning for hubby as we dressed for church - what a blessing!
