The fighting of our battles
If this is a battle of His choosing for me,
then He will fight for me,
He will conquer the unconquerable,
He will cause the walls of Jericho to fall,
He will defeat the enemy, no matter how numerous or deeply entrenched they may be.
Did you actually notice the first part of this quote. "....a battle of HIS choosing...."? Like Job of old, we recognize that in God's will our battles are those that God chooses or allows for us. And when we fully recognize this, we can move on to gain our strength in the knowledge that He WILL fight that battle for us. Then amidst the strife of the battle, we can rest in the peace that comes from Him alone.

Grammy - So true. When we try to fight life's battles in our own strength, we may think we're succeeding, but when we place ourselves in the hand's of God and live our lives according to His will and His plan for us, the battle will be the Lord's.
