Do you ever get discouraged because of the way?

Do you ever get discouraged b/c of the way you are traveling? your life circumstances?

I sometimes do. Isreal did too.

Moses writes that ,the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.

And the people spake against God, and against Moses, and said "they did not like God's choice of provision, loathed their circumstances, and why did God not just leave them to die?"(Numbers 21:4-6)

God provided, but it wasnt what they were used to having. They were tired of it, and felt they were living a sub-standard life compared to what they knew was there.

The Bible goes on to say that in their anger and self pity they spoke against God, and He judged them by killing them with serpants that bit.

Our lesson is to be careful to not speak against God in our circumstances. The apostle Paul reminds us that we "see through a glass darkly". We don't know the reason for the things that are happening. Above all things that happen in our life, most importantly we have God - who will never leave us or forsake us and in Him we are more than conquerers! (Rom 8:37)

The writer of Hebrews said, "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."Heb 13:5

Remember, just like Abram, God HIMSELF is our sheild and our exceeding great reward. (Gen 15:1) HALLELUJAH!
