TASTE THE SWEET GOODNESS OF SALVATION

Jesus Is Sweet
As I was looking at this orange, it reminded me of a sermon my dear husband preached about salvation. He said if I were eating this orange, and you did not taste of it, you would have no idea how juicy and sweet it tasted. Salvation is sweet; but if you've never tasted it for yourself, you have no idea just how sweet it can be.
II Corinthians 6:2, "For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
Proverbs 27:1, "Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth."
This is the scripture he used in the message, and it just all came alive. He preaches dynamically and uses many things in every day life to get a point of Biblical teachings across. Just as Jesus gave all the parables, he uses these illustrations to point sinners to Christ. So many in the pews of our churches are lost and undone without Christ, They come in sit, hear the word and go out the same way they entered, without ever accepting Jesus Christ as their very own personal Saviour, It is heart breaking. We must reach them -- this is the great commission, go, go quickly! Compel them!
Luke 14:23, "And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled."
As you know, the lost world is not beating the doors down to get into the church where they can hear the gospel; so as the saved and called accordingly to His purpose, we need to be willing to go out and bring them in. Yes we need to be a willing vesses for the use of the Holy Spirit that can reach the people whom we come in contact with, let us go in the name of Jesus, for his glory, filled with his Spirit, and willing to do the work he has called us to do. I pray you have a blessed weekend, and that your cup is filled, and running over into all the lanes and streets of your city. Be willing, be like Isaiah, Here I am lord send me.
